Donovan Glover English / Language Arts Dept. Chair Donovan Glover graduated magna cum laude from UCLA's School of Theater, Film, and Television where he won numerous acting and play-writing awards. He earned his MFA in writing from the illustrious Naropa University, in Colorado; and his English teaching credential from Cal State LA. Before becoming a published novelist and professional screenwriter, Glover refilled his share of lattes, acted in theater troupes, and entertained many thousands as the “Italian Leprechaun” on Amtrak. He currently lives in Tujunga with his wife and two young daughters. Glover very much enjoys teaching English and Film Production at CHAMPS while he edits his second novel. As chairman of the English Department, Glover works to bring a challenging and creative rigor to each English curriculum. A diligent approach to writing is emphasized. Fundamental structure is stressed, in conjunction with developing individual voice and style. Donovan Glover strives to ensure that CHAMPS English classes are not merely a prosaic exploration of words, but an enlightening and inspirational experience in prose! |
