STUDENT ORIENTATION ~ August 8 through August 13

All students need to attend orientation to pick up their schedules and get other school information.

August 8 ~ Seniors, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

August 9 ~ Freshman,
9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Performing Arts, Robotics and Radio Academies
4:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Liberal Arts and Media Academies

August 10 ~ Sophomores, 4:00 - 6:00

August 13 ~ Juniors, 4:00 - 6:00

There will be a short presentation at the beginning of each orientation. Please allow time to park and get to the gym on the church campus.

From Bob Kahn, President of CHAMPS and Chairman of the Board of Directors

It is with great pleasure that your CHAMPS Board of Directors announces the appointment of Joanne Saliba as Executive Director, effective immediately. As you are likely aware, Joanne has been with CHAMPS in an interim Executive Director’s role for approximately the past six months and has done an outstanding job in bringing stability and direction to every aspect of CHAMPS; she is well respected by students, faculty and staff, as well as the CHAMPS community at large and has certainly earned her Panther stripes. As a result, Joanne has been offered the ED position on an ongoing basis; no change should be noticed by parents, students, faculty or staff in any regard or aspect due to this change in status.

Please join me in extending a heartfelt thank you to Joanne and her entire team on a job well done! We are excited to have an excellent and passionate group of educational professionals onboard and look forward to making the coming school year a success for all of our students, both new and returning.

CHAMPS DEBATE CLINIC NEXT WEEK -- ALL STUDENTS WELCOME!

SIG\N-UP NOW for the summer Speech and Debate clinic with the very talented Coach
Iain Lampert. Sessions are next week, Monday June 18 through Friday June 22, from
10:30 AM until approximately 4:00 every day in the Phoenix Building.

ALL STUDENTS ARE WELCOME WHETHER OR NOT THEY PLAN TO JOIN THE
TEAM NEXT YEAR, or whether or not they can attend the clinic every day next week.

Athough not mandatory, it s important that all students who will be joining the
team next year attend if at all possible.

The team is asking for a donation of $100 (or $20/day) as a fundraiser,

SPEECH AND DEBATE CLINIC - JUNE 18, 2012 - JUNE 22, 2012

The third annual -- and very successful -- Speech and Debate clinic with Coach Iain Lampert will be held this summer, Monday through Friday, June 18-22, from 10 AM until approximately 3:30. Athough not mandatory, it s important that all students who will be joining the team next year attend if at all possible. If you can't attend all five days, we can still accomodate. The team is asking for a donation of $100 for the week as a fundraiser, All interested CHAMPS students are welcome to attend, whether or not they plan to join the team.
