Dance Curriculum  2017-18

The Dance Academy is a nurturing and semi-professional environment for young men and women who are motivated and passionate about dance. We focus on developing the artistry in a young dancer, as well as strong technical capability. In addition to preparing students for advanced study at the college, conservatory, or as professionals, dancers in the Academy learn the value of personal discipline, innovative thinking, collaborative exploration, and artistic expression.

Our physical training is grounded in Modern Dance and Classical Ballet, with minors offered in Contemporary, Jazz and Tap.  Composition Studies, Dance Repertory and Dance History are also elements of the curriculum.  Dance Academy students are offered regular opportunities to participate in Guest Workshops and Master Classes in a variety of dance styles. Our dance faculty are highly qualified teachers, and include both credentialed educators and industry professionals alike.

Prerequisite for Dance Academy Courses & Level: Level Placement Audition & Level Promotion
