How to Enroll

Thank you for your interest in CHAMPS Charter High School! Charter schools are open to ALL students and are committed to serving a student body that reflects the local community. As schools of choice, all charter schools are open to any student who wants to apply, regardless of where he or she lives, space permitting. Charters schools are public schools. They are non-sectarian, tuition-free and open to any student who wishes to attend. Choice is a powerful tool for parents seeking access to quality education for their children. Because CHAMPS is open to all students, we employ a lottery system to manage admissions. Please see the information on this page and on our FAQ page for more.

Priority Enrollments

Preference is given to students who reside in the attendance area of Andres & Maria Cardenas Elementary School, and to residents of the Los Angeles School District.

We offer sibling privilege of enrollment through the lottery. This privilege is extended only to families that have multiple children concurrently enrolled in the same enrollment year. All siblings must still submit applications using the appropriate grade-level application. Sibling applicants who apply after the lottery will be placed on the waitlist.
