Mrs. Attefat has a teaching credential with the Royal Academy of Dance as well as California Teaching Credentials in Physical Education and Foundational Level Science. She earned a B.S. in Kinesiology with a Dance Option from CSUN. Before following performance opportunities to California, Mrs. Attefat majored in Dance Performance at the nationally acclaimed School of American Dance at Oklahoma City University. During which time she was a member of the American Spirit Dance Company, OCU Pep Dancers and Liturgical Dance Companies. She has trained with world-renowned teachers in Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles and was a full company member of the Robert Ivey Ballet Company in Charleston, South Carolina. In Los Angeles, she has performed in a variety of television productions and was a resident member of Rei Aoo’s Dance Planet, a modern/jazz company, where she performed at many venues including the LA Dance Invitational, Jazz Dance LA, Spectrum concert series, Split: Dance In/Out of LA, Choreographer’s Carnival, as well as the company’s self- produced concerts of Time Goes On (Madrid Theatre), Antoine’s Mischief and Origins (Ford Amphitheatre). Additionally, Mrs. Attefat has choreographed and performed her original choreography with renowned singers at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. Mrs Attefat has taught at many local studios including Los Angeles Ballet Academy for the last 15 years where she still serves as co-Director of the studio's pre-professional contemporary jazz company, Theatrics Dance Company and Team Theatrics.
