Linda Pierce is enjoying her sixth at CHAMPS Charter High School of the Arts. For the first five years, she served as the school's principal. This year, she begins the position of principal/ director. The principal/ director is the top management employee of the school who provides academic and operational leadership under the direction of the Board of Directors and in collaboration with all CHAMPS stakeholders.
A native of Chicago, Illinois, Pierce has extensive experience as an educator with ten years of experience as a teacher and ten years of experience as a school administrator. Mrs. Pierce came to CHAMPS from the Las Virgenes Unified School District, in Calabasas, California, where she served as an English teacher at Agoura High School and Assistant Principal at Calabasas High School. Prior to working in the Las Virgenes Unified School District, Mrs. Pierce served as the English department chair at Moorpark High School, in Moorpark, California. Pierce taught all levels of secondary English and AVID.
Mrs. Pierce has a Master of Arts in Educational Administration with Distinction from California State University, Northridge and a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communications from Illinois State University.
