Hello CHAMPS Family and Visitors!
Welcome -- Please join me in taking a good look at CHAMPS' Countdown To College! My name is Yasmin Shepperd, and I’m CHAMPS’ Director of College Counseling. Hasina Mohammad, College Counselor, and I are very happy to guide CHAMPS students through the college choice and application process**.
CHAMPS has graduated its ninth senior class in June, and we’re proud to report that our school has developed into a notably strong and enthusiastic college-going community of students with approximately 65% attending four-year private and public institutions throughout the nation of all types and sizes -- and nearly 35% of our grads attending community colleges. We think you'll probably agree that CHAMPS' collective college-going outcome is exciting and impressive. Please see the attached pdf list (on the right-hand side of this page) of all four-year colleges and universities where our grads have been accepted.
Following our college acceptance list on this page, please find and peruse a number of college applications-related handouts, as well as necessary school-generated forms for current seniors who are applying to four-year colleges.
Seniors, all of the handouts you'll need are posted on this website as well as in your Naviance/Family Connection account.
If you have any college-related questions, please contact me via email at yshepperd@champscharter.org or Ms. Mohammad at hmohammad@champscharter.org
We are looking forward to meeting you as you complete your life-changing journey from high school to college. We're truly thrilled to be a part of it and hope it will be a joyous one for you!
Sincerely,
Yasmin Shepperd,
Director of College Counseling
