Stacy Millsap » Bio

Bio

Ms. Millsap earned her B.A. in English from the University of Southern California, graduating cum laude. She returned to the University of Southern California earning her M.A. in Teaching with a 4.0 GPA from Rossier School of Education. She currently is credentialed in single subject English and is teaching English 9, English 11, English 11 Honors, and Pilates for the 2018-2019 year. In addition to reading, Ms. Millsap enjoys taking occasional dance classes and consuming copious amounts of coffee.

Goals & Philosophy

  1. To foster critical thinking and empower students to critically engage with the world around them.
  2. To develop empathy through exposure to a variety of human experiences in literature.
  3. To encourage the use of imagination as a way to change the world.
  4. ​To express high expectations and care for all students.

Make Up Honors Assessment

A few of my students inquired about a make up honors assessment - If you would like to assess for honors, the make up is TOMORROW (8/15) during lunch in room 302. 

Last Week of Instruction Updates

  • Study guides will be distributed on Monday 12/4
  • Last day to turn in late/missing work by box or in class is: Wednesday 12/6
  • Last Journal Check of the semester is: Tuesday 12/5 / Wednesday 12/6

    I highly recommend checking Q and e-mailing me for copies of any missing assignments before Monday.

Fall Benchmark Assessment Makeup

There are two benchmark assessments every year to mark progress. This year, the Fall Benchmark Assessment was the last week of September.
If you were absent on Tuesday (9/26) or Wednesday (9/27), you need to makeup the Fall Benchmark Assessment. 

The makeup for the assessment is: during lunch (11:43 - 12:13) on Tuesday, October 3rd in Room 301.
