If you missed class last Thursday or Friday, we completed totem pole depictions for one of the Native American origin stories.

1. Pick one origin story (Tlingit, Onondaga, or Navajo)
2. Decide how you are going to portray the story (symbols, images, order, color)
3. Draw the totem pole
4. Create a title
5. Write a paragraph defending and explaining your artistic choices

Totem pole: A painted and carved pole, mounted vertically and constructed by Northwestern Native American tribes. The purpose of totem poles vary. We are creating story-telling totem poles.
