Gabriel Salazar » Bio


Mr. Salazar earned a B.A. in Vocal Performance in 2006 from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. He immediately began to pursue a Master of Music degree in Voice Performance from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, graduating in 2009.  In 2010 Mr. Salazar returned to Grand Canyon University to  direct a Chamber Choral Ensemble for the next 3 years. In 2013 he relocated to Los Angeles, California to begin the teacher candidate program at California State University, Fullerton, earning his Single-Subject Credential in Music. 
Mr. Salazar has sung in professional choral groups such as The Chicago Symphony Chorus, The Angeles Chorale and is currently a member of The Pacific Chorale. He has also served on staff at churches around the United States as a music director, currently serving at The United Methodist Church of Thousand Oaks. 
Mr. Salazar is very excited to be joining the faculty at CHAMPS and looks forward to some amazing opportunities with the choirs at CHAMPS. When he is not at CHAMPS he enjoys travel, running, hiking, the beach, friends, family and being with his 4 year old son!
